I first went to see Ali in June 2020 after being recommended by someone at my fertility clinic. I was very sceptical at first and wasn’t sure of the benefits but I was prepared to give anything a go for the best chance of getting pregnant. I wanted to make sure my menstrual cycle was in a good situation to accept an embryo and to help me stay fit and healthier. I was surprised at how relaxed I felt during my 1st acupuncture session and when my period came that month I had no spotting, no pain and Ali said this was all good signs ready for pregnancy. The embryo I had put back stuck with the help of having acupuncture before and after my transfer, unfortunately the embryo didn’t stay stuck and resulted in an early miscarriage. I continued with acupuncture and in the build up to my 2nd transfer I was able to relax more and had really got into the swing of acupuncture and the way it made me feel after. I had more regular acupuncture for my next transfer and around the time of my miscarriage last cycle Ali offered a free session to reduce the risk of this happening again. I continued seeing Ali until I was about 9/10 weeks pregnant when after many scans could see the pregnancy progressing. I absolutely loved having acupuncture and would not hesitate to have it again in the future. It particularly helped me to relax, relieve my anxieties and also help combat my early morning sickness and headaches! Thank You Ali. 

After trying for a second baby for over a year I went to see Ali following a friend’s recommendation. Ali was very thorough from the get go, wanting to ensure she understood everything that was happening from a body and a life point of view. After approx six months of trying to regulate my periods and reduce my stress levels, we got to the stage where they were regular and operating how they should be. However, we knew falling pregnant naturally would be a challenge as I have a very low AMH.

Myself and my husband knew that if we wanted to do IVF we would have to do it as quickly as possible because we knew the success rate would always be on the low side due to my egg quantity. We decided to go for IVF as soon as the first lockdown was lifted. I visited Ali once a week in the three months leading up to IVF to ensure my body was ready. Ali was fabulous during the IVF process, a constant positive attitude but also so flexible. One example of this is on implantation day I had to be at the clinic super early. Ali was more than happy to see me ahead of her clinic times to ensure I could have the treatment. I have no doubt that Ali’s nature and flexibility helped our IVF process.
I’m very pleased to say that despite only collecting three eggs and two being implanted, we now have a healthy baby girl who was born last week.
I honestly couldn’t recommend Ali enough. Her treatment, her personality, her calming nature, her positive mindset – I truly believe all of this helped me be in the right frame of mind for IVF and for having our little girl.

I went to see Aliya initially as my periods had stopped and I had been diagnosed with PCOS. I also wanted to start trying for a baby in the next few months. I found my first session with Aliya so enlightening. She is so easy to talk to, intuitive and supportive. After a couple of acupuncture sessions my period returned. I fell pregnant the following month and am expecting my first baby in June. I fully believe that this was due to my sessions with Aliya, which I have continued through my pregnancy as I have found such a benefit from acupuncture. I have since recommended Aliya to a number of my friends and family.

I have been seeing Aliya for a few months now, having struggled on with hormonal issues for sometime. Within that space of time the difference to how I feel on a day to day basis has improved so much and I now feel like myself again. I can’t put a price on this. This is by no means your average testimonial short and to the point. Instead I want to give you honesty and deep insight, take and stop when is best for you!

Some words to express the heartfelt thanks to Aliya and her amazing work and healing. For those who are curious, I have been seeing Aliya for just approaching two years, on the first instance to help with my acute anxiety and trauma as a result of bullying in the work place. No longer knowing myself, feeling a sense of loss, not being able to comprehend my symptoms, or what was happening, constant restlessness and sleepless nights I visited Aliya in hope that she would be able to bring back calm and help with my symptoms. And this she did and more.

I recall my first every treatment when I was met by the most charming personality and welcoming aura of Aliya who made me feel safe and reassured my self belief; and has done ever since. The zen I was looking for was experienced on that first session feeling a little anxious whilst lay on the bed having the needles placed where Aliya saw fit. After my deep inhalation and exhalation and left with “leaving all thoughts to one side” Aliya’s famous words and relaxing into the treatment this I did. I had my first deep sleep after several months and the elation and zen I felt is hard to put into a few sentences so I shall leave it for you to conjure! My recent trauma left me in a deep state of acute anxiety and depression; I was now a former shadow of myself who could not even walk into her local Costa or step outside the home without tears. My trust had been broken and my personality. I had severe digestive complaints which exacerbated my ibs and coeliac’s which for years had been under control, alongside my insomnia and racing thoughts from the mental trauma off bullying I was now experiencing depression and irregular periods, not forgetting hair loss from the stress.

With each pin from Aliya I feel as though I have now released negative energies and blockages at each stage.

Whilst Aliya acknowledges your complaints and ailments she looks at you as a whole, which unlike other practitioners who treat the physical Aliya works based on your body’s signs and requirements. I started to see Ali last year after not having had a period for over seven months. This was following stopping the contraceptive pill after 10 years of taking it. After going to my doctors and also a gynecologist and not being able to find any reasons as to why I did not have a period I decided to give acupuncture a go.

I have to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed every treatment and found Ali to be extremely supportive. 10 months later I am pregnant and seeing Ali on a regular basis and I plan on carrying on with acupuncture once the baby comes. I would definitely recommend Ali to anyone trying to get their cycles back on track and/or wanting to get pregnant. She has such a lovely calming energy, I always look forward to my next treatment.

I can wholeheartedly recommend Ali as an Accupuncturist. Since starting my acupuncture treatment two months ago, my health has improved significantly. My health problems relate to an autoimmune condition that I have had for several years. I suffered from burning feet that were painful and a real problem in my daily life. Ali was very professional and thorough, asking detailed questions about my symptoms which meant a highly personalised treatment plan. The result is my feet are no longer painful. My throbbing headaches are now infrequent, my thinning hair is growing again, my eczema is gone and my periods are regular and pain free for the first time in years. I have been seeing Ali regularly for several months now. Initially I was referred to Ali for fertility issues, but I am glad to say that Ali does not just focus on this. I like the fact that she takes a complete holistic approach and has treated me for many symptoms that have been unrelated to fertility. As a result my body is more balanced and I have a general feeling of wellbeing, both physically and mentally.
Ali has treated me for my eczema which was a big irritant on a regular basis, this is now subsiding and is more manageable, rather than the constant scratching and the soreness. What I have found is that Ali will not only treat the ailment with acupuncture but will then give me general advice, such as what foods to avoid to stop the flare-ups, to go for a swim to cool the skin, to cool down the temperature in the shower, all of this then helps a person to keep the symptoms under control and helps you to understand what’s happening with your body and how to manage it.
Ali also helps me with my hyperhidrosis, a problem I have had since childhood and in the past I have used a machine at home to give myself treatments to help with the condition. Ali did not just ignore this condition, even though I did not come to her to help me with it. Every time she will ask about it and will use the acupuncture again to help me manage it. The symptoms are not completely cured but it is manageable to the point that I have not bothered to use the treatment given to me by the hospital. I wish now that I had known about acupuncture years ago, it would have saved me from so much heartache and embarrassment.
I also suffer a lot from migraines, practically every day, but I can confidently say that these are not coming every day now, I have had respite for several days and I am waiting for the time that these are completely gone, it will be such a relief not to have that sharp pain behind the eyes, I am confident that these will one day disappear. They are getting less and less painful and less and less regular.
As for the fertility, Ali is preparing my body for my first round of ivf, when and not if I have good news, I will be reporting back to her website to announce it. Ali has seen me through the ups and downs every month and has even introduced me to one of her clients who has talked to me, advised me and helped me to finally come to a decision about where I wanted to go for the treatment. I am feeling quite confident and upbeat about starting the process and I know that I have two people in the background that will support me throughout it, Ali and her client are always there, advising, encouraging and giving a positive outlook.
I don’t feel that this is just a treatment of acupuncture, this is a person who will go out of their way to help you, will advise you, will sit with you when you’re upset, will give you positive words of encouragement.
