Ali is amazing and she absolutely helped me with my fertility struggles. Whilst I needed IVF, I truly believe Ali gave me the best possible shot and we were pregnant with our first IVF cycle. My baby girl is very precious and Ali played a huge part in getting us there. Ellie.

Feeling at my wits end with hormonal migraines hot flushes arthritis and disrupted sleep, Aliya was recommended to me, I went ahead not knowing what to expect and not really sure that acupuncture would be of any help. After my first session my migraine left and has not returned, and my arthritis in my big toe was gone. By my fourth visit I have suffered no hot flushes and slept all the way through the night.

Everytime I’d heard about acupuncture I presumed it was for help with muscle or tissue injuries, aches and pains. I’d never considered it to help with fertility. Struggling to conceive I thought there was no harm in trying it. Aliya was not only very thorough in her treatment but also suggested life changes to help. After a few sessions I immediately felt more energised, my monthly cycle changed just how Aliya said it would. I saw many positive changes. The cycle Aliya predicted was the one did actually work and I gave birth to a healthy baby boy in Nov 18. I was overjoyed ! She is very good at her job and has a lot of experience. I definitely recommend Aliya for acupuncture, not only to help with fertility issues, but also to help to balance your hormones and help you to feel better. This is by no means your average testimonial short and to the point. Instead I want to give you honesty and deep insight, take and stop when is best for you!

Some words to express the heartfelt thanks to Aliya and her amazing work and healing. For those who are curious, I have been seeing Aliya for just approaching two years, on the first instance to help with my acute anxiety and trauma as a result of bullying in the work place. No longer knowing myself, feeling a sense of loss, not being able to comprehend my symptoms, or what was happening, constant restlessness and sleepless nights I visited Aliya in hope that she would be able to bring back calm and help with my symptoms. And this she did and more.

I recall my first every treatment when I was met by the most charming personality and welcoming aura of Aliya who made me feel safe and reassured my self belief; and has done ever since. The zen I was looking for was experienced on that first session feeling a little anxious whilst lay on the bed having the needles placed where Aliya saw fit. After my deep inhalation and exhalation and left with “leaving all thoughts to one side” Aliya’s famous words and relaxing into the treatment this I did. I had my first deep sleep after several months and the elation and zen I felt is hard to put into a few sentences so I shall leave it for you to conjure! The serenity and happiness that followed over the next few days and off course not forgetting the personal touch of Aliya’s unexpected text message the very next morning to see how I was getting on was enough for me to know this was and would be my place of healing for and until otherwise. It is worth noting that alongside my mental pain from the trauma and bullying I also had other symptoms to endure which had manifested. I was no longer the vibrant personality or confident girl who could walk into a room of anywhere from 300-500 people and present without giving it a second thought. I was suffering from low self esteem and confidence and felt dull and empty from within. My recent trauma left me in a deep state of acute anxiety and depression; I was now a former shadow of myself who could not even walk into her local Costa or step outside the home without tears. My trust had been broken and my personality. I had severe digestive complaints which exacerbated my ibs and coeliac’s which for years had been under control, alongside my insomnia and racing thoughts from the mental trauma off bullying I was now experiencing depression and irregular periods, not forgetting hair loss from the stress.

With each pin from Aliya I feel as though I have now released negative energies and blockages at each stage.

Whilst Aliya acknowledges your complaints and ailments she looks at you as a whole, which unlike other practitioners who treat the physical Aliya works based on your body’s signs and requirements. My periods are now back on the dot of each month which is a miracle, my Bowel movements regular, my hair back to thickness and shine, the list continues and the happiness and restoration to have a zest for life continues.

I started seeing Ali when I felt I was struggling to get pregnant following a miscarriage and then continued to see her when I did manage to get pregnant because my worry was then staying pregnant!

I saw Ali up until week 20 and then again from week 35. I remember her saying she cannot guarantee it but a lot of her clients had produced ‘chilled babies’! I am pleased to say I have had a very happy chilled baby that has been a great sleeper……coincidence or not…?! I also had a labour than was a lot less traumatic than it was expected to be (following a traumatic miscarriage). The labour team were very surprised. So again is this a coincidence or not…?!

I have recommended Ali to other pregnant friends and will definitely be seeing her again in the future.

Firstly, I want to say to anyone who’s concerned about acupuncture and needles etc; please do not worry. Here’s why:
I am petrified of anything like this and my friends were so shocked to hear that I was going for acupuncture when I am so needle-phobic. But the pins are not like needles, nothing at all and they are so small too.

I was apprehensive on my first visit due to the above and, of course, wondering what will happen, what can I expect, how will I feel during it and after. Aliya is the lady who provides the treatments and she is so lovely and explains everything so clearly that my concerns were immediately obliterated. I didn’t feel the pins in my skin and after Aliya positioned them in the areas she felt I needed (as I was going for tinnitus and anxiety). I lay there so calm and relaxed that I nearly drifted off and forget why I was there. I was astonished to be honest but then something else happened….

On my second visit, I was calm and ready as I knew fully what to expect and whilst laying there comfortably with the pins again positioned in the areas administered; I felt this wave of calm as if someone had lifted a bag back from my body. I can’t explain why, I do not know to this day what happened but I do know that I felt lighter and my mind started to feel so much clearer.

I would be the first person to question alternative therapies but this was a surprise and a pleasant one. I even emailed Aliya asking if it was normal to have this happen and she said yes of course.

My anxiety reduced considerably from my visits. One can never underestimate how debilitating anxiety can be and when it gets a grip, it is hard to shake off. Acupuncture enabled me to relax for the first time in months and allow myself some clarity of thought. I was sleeping better and I was feeling so much better about things.

Aliya is a lovely person and very professional too. I have, since, recommend friends to her for treatment as it really helped me.

I’ve seen Aliya through both of my pregnancies but my most recent experience was in preparation for the birth of my little boy Ted. I had gone a week overdue and my midwife had started to discuss induction which was something I was hoping to avoid. I was anxious about the idea of induction and really wanted to kick things off naturally. Aliya was fantastic, very calm (as usual, i’m presuming she comes across quite a few anxious pregnant ladies in her job!) I had an appointment with Aliya to help encourage labour. It was fantastic, bizarrely I felt calm, I felt ready and also confident that my body would work with me to deliver my son. I remember Aliya texting me to check I was ok the following day and offfering me another session and that she could squeeze me in before she was going on holiday (this is the kind of thoughtful person Aliya is) anyway it wasn’t necessary! I’d started to have contractions within 36 hours of the appointment and had my little boy in a water birth with just gas and air 8 hours later. This was my dream birth plan and I’m so glad I was able to see this through. I’m convinced that using acupuncture to help me induce labour was key to this process.
